Christmas 2011

I haven't been home in about four months.  That's a long time without seeing family.  I'll be back this weekend for a week to be with family.  I'm particularly excited because Sam, Steph, and the kids are going to be home for Christmas this year.

Luckily, work ends at 1:30 pm on Friday.  I could start my drive home earlier than usual.  I have to start packing soon.  So many things to remember to bring - and I always forget something.  :)

I have to minimize my time with friends because this is a time for family.  But I will make sure I get to see baby Evan and baby Nathan.  Would it be too much trouble to meet at a Friday lunch with the lunch group?

In other news, my wish is coming true .. some time in January, my friends are going to teach me how to snowboard!  woohoo!!  I'm so excited.  We are going to hit up Camp Fortune or Mont Cascade.  When I do, I will post a pic of me in my snowboard gear.  :)

Trying on Dresses at BCBG Max Azria

I went window shopping with a friend on Friday night after work.  My friend wanted some fashion tips and asked me to give her some suggestions since her waredrobe needed a makeover badly.  We stopped into BCBG Max Azria and just for fun, I decided to select a few dresses in different colours and styles for her to try on - what better way to figure out what colour looks good on her. 

I pulled this one dress from the rack and said .. try this on.  She looked at me with a look of uncertainty.  I said just try it for the colour.  She went into the dressing room and tried on the dress .. and omg.  She looked stunning in the dress.  She checked out the price of the dress .. $450!  :)

I liked it so much .. she suggested that I try it on myself.  I was skeptical but I asked for my size and tried it on.  I loved the way it hugged my frame.  It was so pretty .. and I really wanted to buy it but I put it back on the rack.  :(

When it goes on sale, I just may go back to buy it.
